DOLL MINISTRY 2026
The Doll Ministry team is gearing up for the 2026 holidays. Last year, about 100 dolls were delivered to families served by the Atlantic Street Center, Mary’s Place, Lake Washington Safe Parking, New Ground Bothell, and Riverton Park Asylum Seekers. We’re hoping to do it again in 2026!
The Doll Blessing has been scheduled for Sunday, November 22nd during worship. Doll packaging will be Saturday, November 21st, 10:00-12:00 in the fireside room and the lounge.
All are welcome to participate in this ministry!
Help is needed in many ways:
Sewing, knitting, or crocheting doll outfits
Making doll blankets (quilt, knit, crochet, etc.)
Building cradles
New request: Making tote bags for the dolls (for unhoused families that may not have space for a cradle)
Staining or painting cradles
Shopping for doll accessories (bottles, rattles)
Providing wrapping supplies
Packaging the dolls
Praying for the children and this ministry
There are a few dolls, patterns, fabric, and yarn in the Church Library (on the back bookshelf) that are free for you to take.

Soft Goods for Senegal report
Get your Woo-hoo ready…the scales weighed in for the Soft Goods for Senegal drive, with all those bags adding up to 4,126 lbs! That’s more than 2 tons of soft goods!!
Northwest Center added 2cents/pound because their driver didn’t show up Sunday, so the total amount raised is $825.20.
Each of those bags represents someone’s effort , someone who heard about UWFaith’s Rummage Sale and Soft Goods for Senegal…someone who cared enough to take action supporting the work of UWFaith serving women, children, and youth…in this case, sharing a bag of Soft Goods, reaching students in Senegal.
It’s a win-win all around: Students on the other side of the globe will receive your love and support, and the person who brought each bag of Soft Goods now has a cleaner closet. Thanks be to God for all the ways a little effort might change the world.
Susanna Wesley Fellowship Group
The Susanna Wesley group will meet Thursday, October 8, from 10–11:30am. Members of our church Queerly Beloved group will share about their new project, a Gender Affirming Clothing Closet. This project will serve individuals who are transgender or gender-diverse who face barriers in safely expressing their identity. It will also offer support, presence, and care in ways that strengthen their community connection.
