Join us for our Summer Programming where we will
serve together, play together, and learn together
on-site and across the region!

Let’s connect with one another as we live into our purpose of Becoming Christ in the Community

All programming starts at 11AM unless otherwise noted.

  • Bring a nut-free potluck item that reflects your cultural heritage, and teach us something about it! Fill out this form online or at the event to share more about you dish and your heritage!

This fun event will be a time connecting with one another as we learn from our generous table hosts about German, Dutch, Filipino, Icelandic, Scandinavian and Taiwanese culture, and more!

  • As we honor and recognize Juneteenth, join us for a movie screening and conversation of this PBS documentary.

From the creators: “A black man is troubled by the legacy of American slavery and the misuse of Christianity to justify it. He travels throughout Texas and discovers how the Juneteenth holiday reveals a resilient hope that empowered the formerly enslaved and their descendants to fight for freedom in an often unjust society.”

  • Join us in the Sanctuary as Kyle and Clara  take hymn suggestions from the red and black hymnals and lead us in song. Have a hymn you want to make sure we have time to sing? Feel free to email your suggestions to Clara!

  • Join us for a conversation with our friends and partners at Earth Ministry as we learn ways we can live into our values of environmental stewardship and care for creation!

  • Join us as we work together in and around the church building, helping to create an environment of hospitality and love! Especially with Vacation Bible School happening soon, we’ll need support setting up for that as well as other projects!

  • Join us for a conversation with Jennifer Paterson McLaughlin, Senior Program Manager of Youth and Education for the IRC, as she shares about their important work of providing opportunities for refugees, asylees, victims of human trafficking, survivors of torture, and other immigrants to thrive in America, and ways we can support their work of welcoming and belonging!

  • Let's go cheer on the Seattle Mariners! If you and your family would like to attend, please RSVP to the church office by June 23. Tickets are $18/seat located in section 115.  Scholarships are available by contacting Pastor Joe

  • As we continue to live into our value of Becoming Anti-Ableist, join us for a movie screening and conversation of this PBS documentary.

From the creators: “People with disabilities are one of the largest minorities in the United States. But for most of American history, they occupied a sub-class of millions without access to everyday things most citizens take for granted: schools, apartment buildings, public transportation, and more… Lives Worth Living traces the development of consciousness of these pioneers who realized that in order to change the world they needed to work together. Through demonstrations and inside legislative battles, the disability rights community secured equal civil rights for all people with disabilities. Thanks to their efforts, tens of millions of people's lives have been changed. This film is an oral history, told by the movement's mythical heroes themselves, and illustrated through the use of rare archival footage.”

  • Join your Bothell United Methodist neighbors at a park near you for a potluck picnic from 12:00-2pm! There are 3 picnic shelters reserved for Bothell UMC throughout our area, go to the one closest to where you live so you can meet others who live near you!

  • Join us in the Sanctuary as we sing some of our favorite Broadway hits! All are welcome!

  • Join us as we pack the unsold items from the annual rummage sale and soft-goods drive into a truck.  Items will be sent to Northwest Center who pays per pound for soft-goods.  All proceeds from the Rummage Sale and Soft-goods drive benefit programs for women, children, and youth through Bothell United Women in Faith.

  • Many people know someone who is affected by dementia. In this abbreviated workshop we will explore typical and atypical aging related to cognitive functions, sensory input and processing context, and skills that use connection to partner in care. Bring your questions and curiosities to create topics of interest for future monthly gatherings. Sam McTavish, a Positive Approach to Care Certified Independent Trainer and Consultant, will facilitate.

  • Personal and household hygiene items are not covered by SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) and there has been an increasing need for these items. We are excited to partner with Essentials First for an August donation drive and an August 31st packing event! Our goal is to provide items needed for 50 kits which are distributed by the organization to people who need them. Please bring full size quantities of the following items - we will need 50 of each! You can put them in the donation bin in our narthex. Ask your neighbors and friends to pitch in as well - this will take all of us! On Sunday, August 31st we will hear a presentation from Essentials First and pack the kits.

Shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, shaving supplies, wipes, menstrual hygiene products, laundry detergent, toothpaste & toothbrush, dishwashing liquid soap. Please note - items other than listed will not be helpful at this time, please adhere to this list.
